Muscle knots in the Extensor Hallucis Brevis are usually found on the top of the foot, just in front of the ankle and towards th big toe. These muscle knots can refer pain across the top of the foot and into the big toe, making walking or toe movement feel stiff or sore. You may feel a subtle kind of discomfort that can sneak in during long walks or tight footwear.
