Glute Minimus Anterior Portion
Muscle knots in the Anterior Portion of the Gluteus Minimus are located deep in the front of the outer hip. These muscle knots often refer pain down the side of the buttock, outer thigh, knee, and even to the outer lower leg and ankle, mimicking sciatica but without the nerve-related symptoms like numbness or tingling. The pain is usually a deep, aching sensation that can be aggravated by walking, standing, or lying on the affected side, and is often mistaken for hip joint or nerve issues.
