Muscle knots in the Supraspinatus are typically located deep on the top of the shoulder blade, slightly above the ridge of bone. When active, these knots refer pain primarily to the outer side of the shoulder, often concentrating as a deep, stubborn ache in the side of the upper arm. The referred discomfort frequently travels further down, sometimes reaching the elbow, which can be easily mistaken for local joint or muscle issues.
