Tibialis Anterior
Muscle knots in the Tibialis Anterior are located long the front of the lower leg along the shin bone. These muscle knots commonly refer pain to the front of the shin and the top of the ankle, often extending to the big toe. The pain is frequently described as a deep, aching sensation that can be mistaken for shin splints. It is most noticeable during walking or running, particularly when the foot makes contact with the ground. The muscle itself may feel tight and tender to the touch along the shin bone.
