Abductor Digiti Minimi
Abductor Digiti Minimi of the foot
Muscle knots in the Abductor Digiti Minimi, which moves the pinky toe, can refer pain to the outside side of the foot and the pinky toe. The pain can feel like a sharp ache and is often mistaken for a stress fracture. The muscle knots are located on the outer edge of the sole.
Abductor Digiti Minimi of the hand
Muscle knots in the Abductor Digiti Minimi of the hand are located along the ulnar side of the palm, running from the pisiform bone to the base of the little finger. These trigger points can refer pain to the ulnar side of the hand, the medial wrist, and into the little finger, often mimicking symptoms of ulnar nerve entrapment or carpal tunnel syndrome. You may feel tingling, weakness, or aching during gripping tasks, extended keyboard use, or when resting the wrist on hard surfaces.
