Muscle knots in the Abductor Hallucis are located along the inner edge of the foot, along the base of the big toe. These muscle knots can refer pain to the “ball of the foot” and may also cause numbness or tingling in the big toe, often mimicking plantar fasciitis or tarsal tunnel syndrome. You may feel a deep, aching, or burning pain during walking, standing, or wearing unsupportive shoes, and may even limp due to discomfort.
