First Dorsal Interosseous
First Dorsal Interosseous – Hand
Muscle knots in the First Dorsal Interosseous of the hand are located in the fleshy area between the thumb and index finger on the back of the hand. Muscle knots in this area can refer pain to the outside and base of the index finger, the back of the hand, and sometimes into the thumb and thumb side of the wrist, and the palm of the hand, mimicking symptoms of arthritis or nerve compression. People often feel aching or stiffness during fine motor tasks like writing, gripping, or typing, and may notice finger fatigue with repetitive use
First Dorsal Interosseous – Foot
Muscle knots in the First Dorsal Interosseus muscle of the foot are located between the first and second toes, referring pain to the side of the big toe and the adjacent side of the second toe. This pain is often sharp and can be felt deep within the webbing of the toes. Activities that involve spreading the toes or wearing narrow shoes can aggravate the condition.
