What Will You Do for Your Health in 2024?

Can you believe we are halfway through 2024?! Time sure does go fast and while making a fitness change can be challenging, there is no time like the present to start!

  1. Take action! Fitness does not require a lot of equipment to start out or fancy clothes. Put on a pair of shoes and start moving. Take the first step. The most important thing is to get started.
  2. Make fitness a priority. Schedule time each day to commit to fitness and do your best. As time goes on it will become easier to make time and see progress. Before you know it, you will crave that daily fitness as a top priority for your health and well-being.
  3. Focus on changing one thing at a time. This time of year, we want to see results and want them now. We spend hours doing cardio, lifting weights, and starving ourselves only to get burned out and frustrated. Pick one area to focus on until it becomes a habit and then pick another.
  4. Make it social. It can be tough to stick with your exercise if you try to do it alone. Studies show that exercising with a buddy increases your chances of success. Join a team or look for an exercise partner. Another way to be social is to join groups who share the same interest. Having an accountability partner can make fitness fun and a way to reach your goals.

Getting in shape is the result of taking proper actions repeatedly over a long period.

Fitness doesn’t improve much in a day, so making a habit of behaviors that improve fitness must be a priority. Focus on making a single change at a time and attempt to make that change as enjoyable as possible. You can do it!

Remember that you are important and to take time for yourself. It’s worth it and so are you!
